WALKER "DUBYOU" HARRELL (HIP-HOP ARTIST)
1.) Tell us about yourself and your childhood?
My name is Walker Harrell and my stage name is DubYou. I grew up right into rap and hip-hop. My dad would always play it in the car while I was growing up. I would try to learn every word to every song just so I could rap the entire song back. Then I began dancing and starting to get more involved with the music. Which then turned into light poetry first, then songwriting.
2.) Tell us about a challenging time in your life and what lessons you learned from it?
I was not the cool kid in school. I had lots of friends but still endured my fair share of bullying. It came to the point where I needed to vent and release all my built up frustrations and feelings. So I turned to music to help soothe my mind and motivate myself past it.
3.) What motivates you to follow and pursue your passion?
My wife, family and my friends. They all have been so supportive. It's crazy how all 3 of those really helped me to pursue music. My family introduced me to it, my wife motivated me to pursue it, and my friends, as well as the previous 2, have helped me to continue pushing and get it out there.

4.) What advice would you give to the new up and coming artist?
" Don't ever let anything or anyone decide for you. Do what you like and what you feel is right. "No one controls your destiny besides the BIG MAN upstairs and you. If it was easy to make it, everyone would have by now."
5.) Have you or how do you do you contribute to the community?
I like to do as much as I can. For my community as well as other communities. I like to help other artists around the city. Give them advice, collaborate on projects or songs, put them on shows. I donate to charities quite often but I focus on everyone when I donate. I've donated money from shows to help Hurricane Harvey survivors, help Puerto Rico get power back to more areas without power, and help fund the building of more houses in Africa. I try to build everyone up around me.
6.) Who do you look up to besides your parents?
My grandpa for sure. He is a role model. Wasn't rich growing up, didn't have it all, but he made the most of everything. He was the best basketball player from his high school, a great baseball player, amazing golfer and he can still do it all. He's also humble yet confident and the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Plus a great family man. What more can you ask for?
7.) What are your goals for the next 5 years?
My goals are to first push myself to always be better than myself. If I get 1000 streams on a song. I'm going for 2000 the next. Then 3000. And so on. Also to be a great family man and in touch with my community. I love Iowa and its people and want nothing more than for all of us to flourish.
8.) What is your motto in life?
" God. Family. Hustle. "
9.) How did you find out about Made4Mankind Clothing?
Through social media. I saw some of my friends wearing it and saw the support they were receiving and reached out to them shortly after.
10.) What do you know about Made4Mankind Clothing?
Its owned by two great people with roots in California, Michigan, and The Philippines. They support art in all forms and work very closely with the entire community. They offer designer clothing, shoes, and accessories as well as their own self-titled brand of clothing and accessories.
11.) If you could do a collaboration with Made4Mankind Clothing, what kind of apparel would you choose and why? (T-shirt, Hat, Accessories, Etc.)
